OSTEO MICRO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The OSTEO system is designed to be connected to portable radio transceivers. It is used to communicate while wearing a riot control helmet, with or without a gas mask, ensuring high-quality communication in both quiet and noisy environments. The system captures vibrations from the skull when the user speaks. These vibrations are amplified and retransmitted to the portable transmitter/receiver.
Transmission and reception automatically switch on the radio unit as soon as the cable is disconnected from the helmet.
The OSTEO system consists of a skull microphone and single earpiece assembly, positioned inside the helmet and secured with Velcro to the helmet liner mesh. It also includes a connection cable to the portable radio with a push-to-talk control, fitted with a 12-pin male Hirose connector, as well as an adapter with a 12-pin female Hirose socket compatible with APX 6000, 7000, 7000XE, 8000 and 8000XE radios.
